Webster's Christmas Letter

Hi Guys,

My peeps are too lazy to send out cards or letters so it's up to me to send out an annual Christmas letter.

As for me, I had a banner year! For sure, the highlight was everyone chipping in to buy me a scooter for Mrs. Master's birthday.  Probably some of the best planning and plotting in my history.

We fostered four friends.  Apparently, we got upgraded to super fosters because all four had special challenges and made my work extra difficult.

Oh!  I also went to camp for 8 whole days while Master and Mrs. Master went to someplace called France.  Camp was awesome and I made a lot of new friends.  I forgot to ask if the humans had a good time.

Master took up wood working but I'm not going to count him as successful until I receive my end tables.

As for Mrs. Master, she's been busy redecorating and reorganizing the guest bedroom for Mini Master.

If I can just get Mrs. Master to stop singing this song then we can finish 2013 on the same happy note we've had all year (for what it's worth, I do think she knows she's singing it totally out of context).
Merry Christmas from our family to yours.  It's our prayer that you would experience God's goodness and grace the way we have this past year.

Love,

Nora B. Webster

Thoughtful Presents from Ruby

On Wednesday, I received a surprise package.

I knew I hadn't ordered or won anything recently and Mrs. Master wasn't opening it fast enough.  Ugh.

FINALLY!  She got it open and it was a blankie for Mini Master.

While she was getting all teary eyed and going on and on about how thoughtful Ruby and her mom are, I was trying to get the awesome bone.

Blankie smankie.  This is my new toy from Ruby.

Mini Master has received A LOT of gifts recently.  I mean, he has an ENTIRE ROOM devoted to him and his stuff.

Now, I have something too.

A huge thanks to Ruby and her mom for such thoughtful presents.  We are so grateful for your friendship!

Off to squeek my toy in Master's ear.  Oh, Mrs. Master just reminded me about the on/off squeek feature in this toy.  I guess I'll just play with it quietly away from Master.

1 month until Mini Master's due date (whatever that is),

Cool Product

 Hey Guys,

I slept in today because I was so tired from daycare yesterday.  Something about wild-dogs-needing-more-stimulation-and-will-you-take-nora-webster-without-a-reservation...That's what I heard Mrs. Master saying on the phone before she whisked me away in the car.

It was a great day!

Onto the point of my post.  Miles (remember my ol' buddy) has a new family and they are great and awesome and they gave us this cool sign.

If you're interested in one for your house, you should click here

Mrs. Master said this would have been especially nice to have before I learned, "Wait."

I have no idea what she means.

Now back to my nap,

Family Photos 2013

Hi Guys,

I'm glad to report that my humans were much better behaved during this photo shoot than the one we did last year.
Master's mom brought along a squeeky toy to keep their attention.
She also brought along Master's dad to squeek the squeeky toy so they would look at the camera.
As you can see, it worked really well.

There were times that I couldn't look at the camera in order to ensure everyone's safety.

In this shot, there were a lot of kids over there and I was checking to make sure they were ok.
Seems rude I wasn't allowed in this photo.

This one is for mini Master.

Obviously my humans need some help.  Mini Master does not begin with 'A.'

My work is never done.

Stuck

Hi guys,

You may wonder why I'm under the sofa.  It's because my rude humans were too busy laughing and grabbing their phones to help me.

I was stuck.

My toy got under here and I cried out for Mrs. Master to get it out but she was being slow so I took matters into my own paws and went under to retrieve it.

Unfortunately, it was easier to get in than out.

The funny part was Mrs. Master frantically looking all over the house for me and calling out to Master to come help her.  If I'd known this photo would be posted on facebook, I would not have stuck my tail out for her to notice.  She'd probably still be looking for me.

Live and learn,

End Table

I wonder when Master is going to build me matching end tables for my ottoman. I've let him know multiple times, the window ledge is not cutting it these days.

Dr. Nora B. Webster

Hey Guys,

I'm here with a little medical lesson for you today.

See that bump on my eye?

It's caused by the virus Canine Papilloma.

Mrs. Master took this photo to send to my best friend (my vet...i really love her) and they said to bring me in whenever but it wasn't a big rush.

Master took me last week and got my diagnosis (the wart had tripled  in size by this point).  Dr. Dodson gave me some drops for my water (homeopathic b/c she's awesome like that) to boost my immune system and said if it isn't gone in two weeks I had to have surgery.

SURGERY!?!  I mean, I love my vet but it's because she continuously feeds me liver treats anytime I'm there.  The idea of being there and not getting a steady supply of liver treats did not appeal to me.

So...I ripped it off.

That's right.  It was awesome.  Blood everywhere.  In my eye and everything.

Mrs. Master was freaking out and Master had to catch me b/c I was doing my zoomies around the yard and they were super dramatic.

Umm..I just saved you from having to pay for SURGERY.

Let's show a little gratitude here.

Humans.  Ugh.

The Longest Scoot

We took Mrs. Master on a very long scoot this weekend.  This is us following my buddy Tikanni and her mom and brother.

Unfortunately, this is probably our last scoot for awhile because:

1. Mrs. Master will likely not have good balance much longer
2. She is getting VERY HEAVY
3.  Miles should be going to his forever home this week and then we're taking a break from fostering for awhile.

Soooooo....we really made it count.  A super long scoot followed by a swim and then a scoot back to the car (we made sure Mrs. Master got her exercise by having her kick about half the way back).

Enjoy the video!

Ahem...May I Have Your Attention Please...

Nora B. Webster coming to you live from my ottoman.

The ottoman, as you can see, is finally ALL MINE!

I digress.

I have an announcement to make.

The gender mix in our house will soon be equal.

Here is the very first published photo of my soon to be baby human brother.

I hear he'll be here mid January so I have A LOT of work to do to prepare.

Sure hope he comes out already eating cheerios b/c I sure love to share cheerios with tiny humans!

It's also going to be awesome to teach him to crawl and wrestle and all the good stuff tiny humans need to learn.

So so so so so excited,

Pool Time

This weekend, most of the pools in town opened up to pups.

Always looking for a good time, Aunt Pixie and I decided to check it out.

As long as her mom (Mrs. Master's mom) was in the water, Pixie would swim and swim.  She always stayed really close by her mom.
As you would guess, I didn't need a chaperone.

Mrs. Master kept walking all around to check on me though.
She's funny that way.

To humor her, I came to her every time she called me.  This is a new development in our relationship.  Don't worry, she still knows I'm in charge around here...I come because it's what I WANT, not because I'm OBEYING or something embarrassing like that.

Always the boss,

When You Don't Share

I don't like to snuggle with anyone--not even Miles.

He is not allowed to be on MY bed while I am using it.
So....Mrs. Master made us a new bed.

My very favorite human (besides Master and Mrs. Master) was giving out scratches so I made an exception to the no snuggling rule.

Do you like my new black and white bed?

Go team black and white!

Adventure

We went on a big adventure this weekend.  Miles was feeling so much better and only wears his cone at night or when he's in his kennel now AND he's off bed rest.

We celebrated by going to one of my favorite parks.

Mrs. Master says this photo portrays Miles's personality better than we could ever describe.  He's always smiling.  Even when he's walking far behind the leader of the pack.

Miles still isn't allowed to swim.

Obviously, it's ok because Sibes HATE water.

Me too.  I just hate it.

Can't you tell?

Snow > Water,

Better

This is Miles begging Mrs. Master to let him play with me.

He's feeling so much better!

The swelling is down and he's stopped oozing the infection and we are all breathing so much easier.

Except for Miles who is on bed rest until Friday.

Boo for bed rest,

Love

My foster brother, Miles is sick.  His neuter incision got infected and he went to the vet on Wed for meds.  This morning, it burst and it was real messy and bloody and super scary.  The ER by our house was terrible and the dr. didn't even examine him (without doing about $800 worth of other things first).  Luckily, the board member who went to the ER with Mrs. Master remembered that someone at her vet's office would be in at 9 am and rushed him up there.  That kind man stapeled Miles back up and gave him more meds and he can't go on walks for FIVE DAYS.

Anyway.  I really love Miles so if you can pray for him, I'd appreciate it.

FIVE DAYS!

Running Just As Fast As We Can

My buddy Ginko stayed the weekend.  We had a lot of fun.  Mrs. Master was pleased because you can go further with two dogs than one.  Who'd have guessed?

I'll tell you about my new buddy Miles later this week.  He's a blast!  Well...how about a little video of his lazy wrestling to whet your appetite.

You're welcome,

So Long Reader

Google Reader can kiss our tails for going away.

We have known for months but now it's coming up and we need to make a switch.

Do any of you have recommendations for a good blog reader?

In My 'Hood

Look what we saw on our morning walk.  If you can't tell, that's a family of geese and a whole lotta ducks.
Mrs. Master (like always) was really mean and wouldn't let us off our leashes to go say hi.

Still mad,
